SNOW HIRE

The hire and repair shop boasts 40 Burton snowboards with soft bindings and boots and has over 220 sets of skis and ski boots.

ACCOMMODATION

Staying at the Lake Ohau Lodge will complete a unique and truly memorable South Island skiing experience. The convenience of being 15 minutes form the snow field at the bottom of the access road is hard to beat. Drop your gear and head for the hot outside spa pools where you can sip on a gluhwein and take in the dramatic sunset as Mount Cook turns pink. The restaurant which also overlooks the lake has long tables where couples meet other couples or families can dine together. There is the option of an early dining time for small children if families wish. The open fire, fine food and high country hospitality set the scene.

The lodge has 75 rooms with 4 standards of accommodation. Backpacker rooms where you bring your own bedding and share facilities. Budget rooms with double, twin and triple rooms all with their own bathroom. The standard double studios have a new queen size bed and single bed/or bunk for families, all have ensuite bathrooms with tea and coffee making facilities and fridges and drive to your door access which makes for easy unpacking. 8 luxury double rooms were built in 1997, these are stunning and have the best views of Mount Cook and Lake Ohau. They have queen size flexible slat beds, sliding doors opening to decking, plush furnishings and luxurious bathrooms.

Extra facilities at the Lodge include a tennis court, games room which has a ping pong table, bar with pool table and darts and drying room for getting your gear ready for the next days skiing.
