With our gentler, smoother, and less crowded slopes, learning to ski or snowboard is easier than you think. In fact, in no time at all, you’ll be confidently linking those turns in front of your family & friends.

SMALL IS BEAUTIFUL

It’s easy to decide if Mt Buffalo is right for you! If you’re after super trails, hyper trails, discos, 2km black diamond runs and big, busy ski resorts … then Mt Buffalo is not for you (sorry about that). However if small, friendly and fun is OK and you’re really looking forward to the excitement of an unique winter holiday then Mt Buffalo is it!

You will find that our scenic and sheltered ski bowl provides easy access and lots of fun terrain to explore and enjoy.

FAMILY FUN FOR EVERYONE Mt Buffalo offers families and friends a great place to ski, snowplay and stay together. And because we’re a family mountain we want to make sure that everyone is happy. From the kids mastering a snowplough in Tiny World, to mum and dad having a chance to ski on their own before enjoying a hot chocolate together in the Snow Shoe Jacks Bistro … Mt Buffalo is all set to take care of you these winter holidays!

EXPLORE THE TRAILS

Mt Buffalo’s Cresta Valley is a scenic, sheltered ski bowl, with 3 poma lifts and 2 chairlifts. Our lift operators often get to know you by name. Most of the lifts service beginner and intermediate slopes whilst the Cresta Poma and Cresta Valley chairlift open up some challenging intermediate/advanced areas for skiers & boarders.

Mt Buffalo’s other ski area, Dingo Dell, is located just before Cresta Valley and is open in peak periods. Its rolling, uncrowded terrain and 2 poma lifts will help you develop your skiing & boarding skills.

And of course, there’s the magic of Mt Buffalo’s picturesque cross country trails, past granite boulders and snow laden snowgums! And the good news is that the use of the cross country trails is free on Mt Buffalo.

SNOW PLAY

Special areas are set aside on the plateau for you to enjoy the snow without relying on skis. One is at Dingo Dell and another across the road from the Cresta Day Visitor Centre.

Safety for Snow Players & Tobogganers:

• Only use soft plastic moulded toboggans. Plastic bags and all other types of toboggans are banned at Mt Buffalo because of the injuries they have caused.
• The safest way to ride a toboggan is to kneel. Use your toboggan only in the areas provided.
• Avoid walking or tobogganing on groomed cross country ski trails and downhill ski slopes; it is dangerous and ruins the snow for skiing.
• When you go for a walk or a toboggan, tell someone where you are going and when you will be back. People do get lost!
