Our creative director Francesca Pascoe started working in the Film and Television industry in 1989. Francesca has worked as both a designer and art department co-ordinator prior to taking up her role in CIAu. Due to this experience we saw a need for low cost, custom made computer graphics and software for on set use.

At CIAu we realise the importance of:

1. Budgets - We realise that the majority of productions don't have a large budget, and that budgets need to be strictly adhered to.

2. Suitability - Every script is different and the computer graphics have to work to the script. Also there are technical requirements that must be considered to prevent roll bars and sound considerations.

3. Deadlines - We realise that the art department is bound by very strict deadlines which we guarantee to meet.

4. Ease of Use - The majority of actors have little or no computer experience and must quickly learn to look proficient at the computer software created. We make it simple yet interactive so any one can use it, or we can run the software for the actor.

5. Experience - Francesca has had years of experience on set working with film crews. We understand the essentials of being on set and not in the way.

We use state of the art rapid development tools such as Visual Basic, Internet technology, and a variety of graphics suites to develop one-off software packages or graphic screens for use on Film and TV sets.

Francesca Pascoe - Creative Director

After graduating from Sydney College of the Arts in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Design Francesca spent 8 years in the ABC Design Department working as an assistant designer, designer and art department co-ordinator on a wide variety of productions including drama, comedy, and children’s shows.

Richard Pascoe - Managing Director

Having worked in the computer industry since 1974, Richard has been involved in almost every aspect of the computer industry at some time or other.  With experience designing and producing systems, databases and programs as well as management, support, training, selling and documentation. Richard now mainly specialises in using html, vb and java scripting, online database design and other Internet and multimedia tools for building and displaying online data services for the Internet.
